Millennium Surgical Corp. announces the launch of its instrument reprocessing guidelines poster campaign. To emphasize the importance of following the guidelines for sterilization practices, the company partnered with nurse consultant Rose Seavey, RN, BS, MBA, CNOR, CRCT, CSPDT to develop a surgical instrument reprocessing poster highlighting the critical steps of instrument sterilization.
As part of the campaign, Millennium and Rose also teamed up on an article regarding the challenges and solutions to infection prevention faced by many OR’s and ASC’s. Rose is president/CEO of Seavey Healthcare Consulting Inc. and a 2008-2010 AORN elected board member. The hope is that the poster will serve as a reminder for infection control practitioners to comply with current reprocessing standards as outlined by AORN, ANSI/AAMI, JCAHO, and the CDC.
