Laparoscopic surgery, also known as minimally invasive (MIS) or keyhole surgery, is any of a number of procedures performed through a very small incision, often created by a trocar cannula. Common laparoscopic instruments include cannulas, dissectors, forceps, graspers, hooks, needle holders, and scissors.
