Ophthalmic and Eye Phaco Choppers (Phacoemulsification Choppers) are used during horizontal chop cornea procedures and include patterns such as Barrett, Bordeianu, Arasaslan, Green, Hara, Inamura, Jakobsen, Packard, nucleus dividers, Rosen, and Sibilio. With a phaco tip securing the lens nucleus, a phaco chopper is passed below the anterior capsulotomy, around the lens equator, and through the nucleus horizontally toward the phaco tip. When the tip and chopper are separated, the nucleus breaks. The tip of the chopper specifies the direction of the cut.
In Vertical Chop procedures, instruments like the Phaco-axe crack the nucleus vertically. Chopper patterns such as Barrett, Mackool, divider hooks and central dividers, and Parmar can be used.
We also offer a wide variety of femtosecond laser instruments, prechoppers, sustainers, nucleus crackers, and other instruments for eye, cataract, and corneal procedures.
