General Surgical Scissors come in four handle styles: Traditional stainless steel, scissors with black handles, and two styles of gold handles. Black handled scissors are supercut styles. Scissors with shorter gold-toned handles feature hard alloy tungsten carbide jaws that are more durable and last longer than traditional stainless steel. Scissors with handles that are gold-toned, where the gold color extends past the handles and down the shaft of the instrument, feature tungsten carbide inserts, serrated blades and a cutting bevel.
